Fire-Dex H41 Tan Interceptor® Firefighting Hood with Nomex Nano Flex

The Fire-Dex H41 Interceptor® Firefighting Hood with Nomex Nano Flex is a particulate-blocking hood designed to provide thermal protection while helping reduce exposure to fireground contaminants. It combines flame-resistant outer layers with an integrated filtration barrier to support protection across high-exposure areas including the head, neck, and SCBA interface.

Firefighting hoods have evolved to address both heat and contaminant exposure. The H41 Interceptor® hood incorporates particulate filtration technology intended to reduce the transfer of smoke particles and contaminants to areas such as the jaw, neck, and ears.

The hood is designed to maintain situational awareness while balancing protection, breathability, and mobility.

Multi-Layer Filtration Construction

This hood features a multi-layer construction:

• Outer layers: PBI® / Lenzing blend (20% / 80%) for flame resistance and durability
• Inner layer: Nomex® Nano Flex laminated barrier

The filtration system is designed to block particulates at approximately 0.2 microns and larger, targeting common fireground contaminants.

Breathability and Heat Management

The H41 Interceptor® is designed to support airflow and moisture movement while maintaining protective performance.
